About Charis A. Campbell, Esquire
Charis A. Campbell, Esquire the founding and sole shareholder of Golden Key Law Group. She is a distinguished attorney renowned for her dedication to helping others and her trailblazing efforts in the legal field. Driven by a passion to make a positive impact, Charis has made significant contributions to family law and the broader community.
Originally from New Providence, Bahamas, Charis moved to South Florida in 2002 to further her education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in African Studies from the University of Florida, graduating Cum Laude. She then pursued her Juris Doctor Degree at Stetson University College of Law, where she excelled as a Teacher’s Assistant in Research and Writing and as a Research Assistant for the American Caribbean Law Initiative. Her work in real estate law, focusing on foreclosure and title curative issues, earned her the Dean Richard Dillon Excellence in Real Property Award.
Charis began her legal career at Gulfcoast Legal Services, Inc., a non-profit organization providing vital legal aid. Her work in foreclosure defense and loan modification services for underserved clients in Pinellas County showcased her commitment to ensuring housing stability for vulnerable families.
In 2013, Charis co-founded Legally Modern Law Group, where she discovered a deep-seated interest in family law and dependency cases. Her compassionate approach and keen understanding of her clients’ needs fostered a thriving practice in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
Continuing her journey of service, Charis founded Golden Key Law Group, PLLC in 2015, an all-female law firm specializing in family law litigation and transactional real estate matters. Her leadership extends to her role as President of the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association and various leadership positions with the Florida Bar Family Rules Committee.
She is currently the President-Elect of the Clearwater Bar Association and actively participates in several boards, including Stetson University’s Black Law Student Association Alumni Advisory Board and the Mt. Zion Human Resources Board.
Charis is dedicated to legal education, having served as an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College, teaching Real Estate Transactions and Property Law to paralegal students, and Family Law at Stetson University College of Law.
Her exceptional advocacy has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Super Lawyers distinction for two consecutive years, the Canakaris Award for Young Lawyer of the Year in 2020, and the Clearwater Bar Association’s Ralph Richards Award in 2022, celebrating her exceptional dedication to the legal profession and community.
Outside of her professional life, Charis enjoys quality time with her son, community involvement, and recreational sports.
